A Little About Us

New York style pizza restaurantBrothers Mario and Vincenzo Alessio, along with their cousins, Tony and Giacomo Franzese, left their homeland of Italy with their parents in the 1960's and came to the New World seeking work. They grew up with the classic family Italian recipes passed down to their grandmothers from their grandmothers. Handmade pastas and bread, as well as fresh tomato sauces, were staples at the dinner table.

The men tried a number of industries until they found their calling in the pizza business. They brought their closely guarded family treasures to their Brooklyn ventures in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Bay RIdge and learned in the citys finest restaurants how to blend their traditions with the nouveau cuisine of the new world.

After a time, the men wanted the opportunity to put their own mark on the world so they left the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple and headed south to North Carolina. They put all theyd learned to good use when they opened their first NY Style Pizza restaurant in Goldsboro, near the Seymour Johnson Air Force base. Thin crust coupled with a time-honored fresh Italian tomato sauce and a generous application of cheese and toppings became their hallmark. Their customers couldnt get enough of this unique pizza. Success followed quickly as did locations in Cherry Point and Camp Lejune.

Their signature size pizzas are so large they will not fit in regular boxes. Their small pie is bigger than most chains large pizza! Their ever-popular single slices are cut from a 25 pizza ensuring a filling meal. The menu has since expanded to include pastas, subs, salads and side dishes.

Today the family considers themselves blessed and are humbled by the praise heaped on them from decades of loyal, satisfied customers. Theyve gone from a single location to more than a dozen in many of North Carolinas largest communities. They've helped family members open more than 30 pizza shops all over North Carolina. They have managed to balance the needs of a large company and not lose what got them to where they are today family, hard work, the highest standards and tradition.
